Santa 2009

I took the boys to see Santa at the new Allen Mall and they were hysterical. Cole has this extremely long list of expensive things that he wants... like a hanging flat screen TV. We get to Santa and Carson says: I can't shink of anyshing right now... and Cole says: any ole action figure will be just fine. WTH!?!?! Why does Santa get the cheap list??? ;)

PrEtZeL MaKiNg TiMe!!

The boys made chocolate dipped pretzels for Halloween treats last night. They had so much fun dipping and rolling their pretzels in chocolate and sprinkles. It was a HUGE mess... but worth the memories. Cole was too cute when he asked if I thought he could take some to Mrs. Heald for her snack. He loves her or he would never think about sharing his goodies. Of course... we put a baggie to the side for us. :)

PuMpKiN PaTcH 2009

We had an awesome day at the pumpkin patch this past Saturday. We went to the Pumpkin Patch in Celina with our favorite families: the Van Dykes, Thompsons, Grimes, and Amayas. I love these people and I love even more that our kiddos love each other. With our family not living close to us, we adopted these peeps as aunts, uncles, and cousins. Carson cries for Rich Van Dyke.... he loves Mr Wich. :) The kiddos had a blast, feeding the animals (all but Allie), riding on a hayride, playing around, eating lunch, and taking lots of pictures. Kirsten and Val had to leave early because of Cristian and Lance's soccer game, but we all had a blast with what time we spent together.

Funny Story :)

As anyone who is close to my family knows, Cole is a HUGE chicken. Cluck... cluck!! Anyways, the other night I am working on the computer trying to return PTA emails, order spirit wear, catch up on my Facebook, etc. I told Cole to go upstairs and take a shower. A little while later I realized I couldn't hear any water or him stomping around getting ready. So I tell Carson to go upstairs and make sure Cole is in the shower. I hear Carson stomping up the stairs and then I hear him loudly say: "Get in the shower scarey cat! Nothin gets a mean boy!!" I started dying laughing. A: he says scarey cat instead of scaredy cat. B: my 3 year old is more brave than my 7 year old. Good times... good times!! :) Gotta love little brothers.

GROSS!!!!!!

Yes... so... in a family of all boys this should probably be expected, but it still doesn't make it not disgusting!! You know in the Easter post how my lovely angels colored Easter eggs??? Well, my oldest one found 7 on Easter!! End of that part. Fast forward to Tuesday AFTER Easter. I think Cole stepped in dog poop at his baseball game because we get in the car and it smells disgusting. Thursday... I am thinking... what is that smell? Cole's shoes are clean and in garage... carpets in back seat are clean... but the smell is getting worse. Friday... on our way to Mesquite I am telling Cole that when we get to Granny's we are cleaning this car from hood to back door because the smell is even worse. The boys want to listen to their Veggietale CD. I reach into the passenger seat pocket (on back seat) and pull out 5 colored EGGS!!!!!!! OMG! I check... 2 more. Half the eggs are smushed, half are not. But the stench is overwhelming. It made it worse when we pulled the pocket out to see how many were in there. I thought I was going to pass out driving down 75! When the wind wafts the smell even Carson was like.. Mommy what is that smell?!?! So Cole has to babywipe what he can as we are chunking eggs out of the window, yes... I know I littered people but you didn't smell my car!! Anyways... days of Pine Sol and any other cleaner I can get my hands on, and my car still has a tint of egg smell. I told Neil we should have done the traditional plastic eggs!! Here are those lovely boogers that caused my whole problem!

Happy Easter!!!

We celebrated one of the best days of the year with family. First we died eggs Saturday night. Then Sunday morning we went to church. It was awesome getting to go to "big church". I do miss my Sunday school friends when I don't teach though. :) Then we traveled to Mesquite for all of our family. Of course most of the day was spent by our family trying to convince us to at least move to Sunnyvale. They gave up the idea of me moving back to Mesquite A LONG TIME AGO! It would be nice to be close to our family for once....... Anyways... we had a great day and lots of good food. My Granny know how to fatten you up. If you are ever starving or feel like you need to gain weight.. call me. I will hook you up with my Granny. HA HA!! Enjoy the pics. There are a ton, but I can only put 5 on here. :)

Pumpkin Patch 2008

Ok... so Kim, Veronica, and I had this grandiose idea to take our children to the pumpkin patch on Saturday. Let's just say the kiddos had a blast!! The moms...not so much. :) Our boys are a triple threat when they are together. They have so much fun together... they scream, play sword fight, laugh, and a re just a group of little goobers. It is hard to stay mad at their antics when they are just having fun.. and for God's sake... they are boys!! Poor Rylee was stuck with 3 boys (which together are like 10 boys), and 2 two year olds. You can't even be annoyed with Lana for having melt downs when she looked soooo stinkin cute in her tutu!! After all was said. it was a good time. We got to feed animals, go on a hayride (with a very interesting storyteller I must add... lol), take as many pictures as our kids would allow, and chit chat. All in all it will definitely be a memory. :)

Cole's an artist!!

So I had to share. Cole is a very talented and creative little guy We got a letter home today from his art teacher that he has not 1 but 2 pieces of art that will be displayed at the administration building for the month of October!! He is so excited and proud!! He just so happens to take after both of my brothers who are artistic genius!! Hey... how is that fair?!?!?! I couldn't even draw the friggin turtle they use to put in the newspaper for kids to earn scholarships to art school. Oh well.... I have my talents. :) As you can see he has always had the love of art.

Cole got the game ball!!!!!

So, this has been a difficult baseball season for us. Cole had to move up to machine pitch and is on a team with 1st-3rd graders. There are only 2 1st graders on his team (him being 1). He has a hard time paying attention and trying to keep up with these older boys who have longer attention spans. Neil has been working with him along with myself and our awesome coach. Cole has also had a hard time hitting the ball, since it is being shot out of a friggin machine. Well, this past Friday we had a game. The boys were doing awesome!! Cole was paying attention and actually hit his 1st hit. It was a nice solid hit too!!! After the game was over the coach always gives one of the boys the game ball. Well... Cole got it!!! The coach told Cole he was getting the game ball for paying attention and for getting his 1st solid hit. He has hit before, but not a nice SOLID hit. Starting Monday he will be taking batting lessons at Frozen Ropes. Of course, Neil talked to the instructor on the phone and had to give him the low down on what in his opinion the problem is. LOL Boys... ugh!

Love at first sight!!

So... as Cole is racing his raingutter boat, Carson is macking on the ladies!!!!! Gotta love my little heartbreaker. :)

Cub Scouts!!!

OK... so Cole has bugged the tar out of me ALL summer to sign him up for Cub Scouts. So we did!! He had his 1st event this Sunday. They built raingutter boats and held a raingutter regetta. He LOVED it!! Several of his friends joined too and they are all in the same den. There are 5 of them that are buddies, so this should be an interesting year for their den leader. LOL!! He is an official Tiger Cub... so watch out... we are selling POPCORN!!!

First couple weeks of school

Ok, so Cole has been in 1st grade for 3 weeks now. He has the sweetest teacher ever!! He loves her. He has been on his best behavior to impress her. It doesn't help that she is young and super cute!! LOL It is hard to believe that he is in 1st grade already. it seems like yesterday that he and Neil drove me to school after I had to go back from maternity leave and left me bawling in the parking lot. Where do the years go? Now he is almost 7... yes 7!!!!!!!!!! He is getting "best friends" which totally cracks me up. And is talking about how the girls drive him nuts by chasing him around the playground. Thank God that he is immature and totally oblivious to the fact that what they are really doing is flirting. :) Oh, the good times. Where girls flirt and boys have absolutely no idea that you are flirting. HA HA!!

Cole's "cup" experience!!

Ok... so I have to share a story that made me laugh so hard I cried. Cole is now playing machine pitch baseball. This is a whole new thing to us. Well... apparently in machine pitch they have to wear a cup. Cole calls it his "weiney protector." He LOVES his cup. He puts it on (looking like a Chippendale dancer) and sticks his hips out saying, "Hello ladies!!"Not only does he walk around like he has a sausage in his pants, but he periodically knocks on it. Yes.....he knocks on it. Standing on the practice field he feels the urge to knock on his "weiney protector!!" OMG... what is wrong with this picture?!?!?! Of course, I am trying to explain to him that everyone has to wear one or they can't play machine pitch, but do the other boys knock on their cups?? You bet they do!! They love those suckers!! OOOOHHHH.... the saga of boys. :) I will post a pic as soon as I have one. Not of him modeling the cup, just a pic of him in his new uniform. LOL

Our Lil Slugger

Cole played T Ball for 2 seasons now. He'll be moving up to Machine pitch in the Spring. This Fall we will be testing the unknown waters of FOOTBALL!!!!

Our Boys

Our boys are the best thing in the world. Our life would not be complete without them. Before you are a parent your life is centered around you.. but when those babies get here.. my how things change. :)

My little man

Carson is just about the most cuddly kid I know. He is a true gift from God and I thank Him every day that I have been blessed with a husband who works his fanny off so that I can be at home with our boys. Here is a little picture of my loverboy.

Our Baby is Growing UP!!

OK... so Cole graduated from Kindergarten on June 3rd. How can I say.... WHERE DID THE YEARS GO???? without it sounding cliche? Everyone says they grow up so fast. But, when that new mom getting up EVERY 45 minutes to nurse a crying baby... grows up fast doesn't seem very fast. Now, my "baby" is going into the 1st grade and I am a mom of a 6 1/2 year old. Trust me when I say 6 1/2. He lets you know that he is "almost 7" every second he gets. Other than the obvious feeling of I am getting old, I am also very proud. Cole is an awesome kid. He loves to learn, has a great sense of humor, and doesn't have a mean bone in his body... other than for Carson. Here is a picture of him and a buddy posing like little studs.
