Snow Day in Texas!! :)

An amazing event happened in Texas this year... we had a record level snow!! The boys LOVED playing in it. We even had a snow day at school. Of course, the day before the snow day I let Cole stay home because the last time it snowed I made him go to school and by the time he got home all of the snow had melted. I felt awful.. so this time I wasn't going to let him miss it. How was I suppose to know they would have a snow day the very next day??? Neil and the boys had snowball fights, made a couple of snowmen, and the boys ate snow. Yes.. they ate it!! Only white snow though. ;)

Gaylord Texan ICE

Neil and I took the boys to the Gaylord Texan's ICE exhibit and it was AMAZING!! It was extremely hard to remember that everything there was made of solid ice! The boys had a blast. Of course, right when we walk in Carson tries to lick the ice... Yes.. he tried to LICK IT!! Gross! :/ Enjoy the pics... we sure had fun!

Yes... they LICKED the ice!!

Florida Vacation!!

So this summer was the first out of state family vacation we have done. Neil and I used to go to Mexico or somewhere every summer. After becoming parents our travel slowed WAY down. Lol. So we decided it was time to hit the road. We drove to Florida in August. We stopped in Louisiana and took a airboat sunset swamp tour. It was awesome. Cole was ecstatic!! He was like the Crocodile Hunter. Hee hee. Neil caught a baby crocodile and I got the whole tour on video. :) Then we stayed over in Mississippi to catch some sleep. The next morning we woke up early, ate breakfast, and took to the road. It was a long drive... when you have 2 kids in the back asking are we there yet?? We FINALLY reached Florida and had the best 6 days ever!! We lived off of seafood for a week, stayed almost 24 hours a day on the beach, and took some amazing pictures. We are already planning for skiing in December and have decided it isn't so bad that the boys are getting older. It is now allowing us opportunities that we have desperately missed. :)

Circus Time!!!!

My dad is a Shriner and has been since I was Cole's age. Every year the Shriners host a circus. This year it was at Fair Park in Dallas. The boys, my brothers, and I joined our Dad in hitting the big top. This was the boys 1st circus so needless to say they were stoked!! You can see a before and after picture of Cole. He wanted a $10 light saber that will break as soon as the $ leaves your hands. Well... I wouldn't buy it because Carson was saying "me too, that not fair." I was not about to spend $20 on light sabers. Well.... let's just say Uncle Trey is the bomb in the eyes of a 7 and 3 year old. They go to "ride" the elephant and come back with 2 light sabers because the lines were "too long". Thanks Trey!!!!

M.I.A.

Ok... so this is my first blog of the year. I know, I know.. I stink. :) Anyways, already this has been a busy year. We rang in the new year at home. We were suppose to go to the King's house, but Cole and Carson had a "friend" that wouldn't go away. LOL. Then school started back and it was back to work. I made a New Year's resolution that I will get to an acceptable weight where I feel like I look cute in clothes. I don't really have a number goal, but I do have a goal to look cute in summer clothes. I joined Lady of America and have been working out art least 4 days a week. I conned V and Kaysee into joining with me, so we have fun and are getting in shape at the same time. Our family will be celebrating 4 birthdays in February. 4... can you believe that?!?!? Neil is on the 1st, my brother Trey on the 9th, Shiloh Grace on the 11th, and my brother Cody on the 15th. Plus throw in Valentines Day and the fact that February marks the 1 year anniversary of my Papa's death. It is going to be crazy!! I will be updating some pics soon. HAPPY NEW YEAR to all my friends and family. I hope 2009 gives you the very best!!!

The Love of my Life....

Ok.. so Neil and I have been married 11 years (in August) and together for almost 13!! WOW!!! Where has the time gone??? I still feel like that 20 something who fell head over heels for the cute blonde and had a whirlwind romance planning a wedding. Seriously.. I was thinking about this just the other day. I know numerically I am getting old, but in my heart and head I still feel like that 20 something. I still act the same, a tad more mature. I still like to do the same things (hang out with family and friends, have fun, and live every day to the fullest). So I ask you this.... if every fiber in me is the same ole Kristi... where the heck is the size flippin 5 Kristi?!?!?! Now that my friends, is the part I am STILL waiting on. LOL ;)

Waiting on the HUGE storm.....

Ok.. so my hubby has a little bit of Chicken Little in him. He thought, like a lot of people did, that this weekend we were going to have this HUGE storm. So our pantry is full... I mean FULL... of canned veggies, and other hunker down foods. He does this everytime the news says a catastrophe is going to come. You should have seen him at Y2K. Now that my friends was Chicken Little at his best!!! :)
